This sûrah mainly describes about the rights of women (as its name implies), the law of inheritance, orphan care, lawful and unlawful marriage partners, and a demonstration of justice in verses 105-112. Later on, it transitions to cover striving for Allāh's cause as well as relations between Muslims and People of the Book; it culminates with a response to claims about Jesus's ( ﷺ ) crucifixion and divinity. This sûrah joins its predecessors and successors by bringing up the topic of hypocrisy – a recurring theme in many.
