Transliteration:( Qul mai yarzuqukum minas samaaa'i wal ardi ammany yamlikus sam'a wal absaara wa mai yukhrijul haiya minal maiyiti wa yukhrijul maiyita minal haiyi wa mai yudabbirul amr; fasa yaqooloonal laah; faqul afalaa tattaqoon )

31. Say you (93): Who provides for you from the heavens and the earth (94); or Who has endowed you with hearing and sight (95); and Who brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living (96), and Who manages all the affairs?" They will now say (97): "It is Allah". Then, please declare: "Why do you not fear then? (98)"

Transliteration:( Fazaalikumul laahu Rabbukumul haqq; famaazaa ba'dal haqqi illad dalaalu fa anna tusrafoon )

32. This then is Allah, your True Lord. What remains then after the truth, is falsehood (99). Then how can you turn away from Him?

Transliteration:( Kazaalika haqqat Kalimatu Rabbika 'alal lazeena fasaqooo annahum laa yu'minoon )

33. Thus the word of your Lord proved true against the transgressors (100), that they will not believe(101).

Transliteration:( Qul hal min shurakaaa 'ikum mai yabda'ul khalqa thumma yu'eeduh; qulil laahu yabda'ul khalqa thumma yu'eeduhoo fa annaa tu'fakoon )

34. Please declare: "Are there any of your associate gods who originate creation, then reproduce (102), the same after destruction". Please Declare: "Allah originates and then reproduces (103), the same after destruction. Then where are you turning away blindly?"

Transliteration:( Qul hal min shurakaaa 'ikum mai yahdeee ilal haqq; qulil laahu yahdee lilhaqq; afamai yahdeee ilal haqqi ahaqqu ai yuttaba'a ammal laa yahiddeee illaaa ai yuhdaa famaa lakum kaifa tahkumoon )

35. Please declare: "Are there any of your associate gods who may guide (104), you to the truth?" Please declare: "Only Allah guides (105) to the truth". Then should He Who guides to the truth be followed or he who himself finds no guidance (106) unless he is guided? Then what happened to you? How do you judge?"

Transliteration:( Wa maa yattabi'u aksaruhum illaa zannaa; innaz zanna laa yughnee minal haqqi shai'aa; innal laaha 'Aleemun bimaa yaf'aloon )

36. And most of them follow only conjecture (107). Surely conjecture avails nothing against truth (108). No doubt, Allah knows their work (109).

Transliteration:( Wa maa kaana haazal Qur'aanu ai yuftaraa min doonil laahi wa laakin tasdeeqal lazee baina yadaihi wa tafseelal Kitaabi laa raiba feehee mir Rabbil 'aalameen )

37. And this is not the attribute of this Quran that anyone might fabricate it without being sent down (110) by Allah. Yes, it is a confirmation (111) of the former Books. And it is the detailed explanation of what is written (112) in the details of the Book. There is no doubt (113) in it. It is from the Lord of the Worlds.

Transliteration:( 'Am yaqooloonaf taraahu qul fa'too bi sooratin mislihee wad'oo manis tata'tum min doonil laahi in kuntum saadiqeen )

38. Or, do they say: "Someone has fabricated (114) it". Please declare: "Then bring (115), a Surah like it, and get help from all whom you can get (116), besides Allah, if you are truthful".

Transliteration:( Bal kazzaboo bimaa lam yuheetoo bi'ilmihee wa lammaa ya'tihim ta'weeluh; kazaalika kazzabal lazeena min qablihim fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatuz zaalimeen )

39. But they have belied that of which they have no knowledge, and they did not get control (117), and they have not yet seen its end (118). In the same manner have those belied who were before them. Then see what became the end of the unjust (119).

Transliteration:( Wa minhum mai yu 'minu bihee wa minhum mal laa yu'minu bih; wa Rabbuka a'lamu bilmufsideen )

40. And among them is he who believes in it, and among them is he who does not believe (120), in it and your Lord knows well those who cause mischief (121),

It has 109 ayaat (verses) and was revealed in Makkah before Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) migrated to Medina. This surah is found in juz/paara 11.

This Surah was revealed during the last stage of the Prophet's residence at Makkah, and dealt with Allah being the only Creator of this universe. The mushrikin were warned against worshiping deities other than Allah, as these have no power to either benefit or harm anyone, nor are they even aware that they are being worshiped. Guidance was provided as to how each nation was sent a Rasool for guidance; Al-Qur'an having a cure for all the problems of mankind; Mushrikin following nothing but conjectures; detailed discussions on the stories of Nuh and Musa and Fir'on; and warnings against forcing anyone to convert to Islam.

This chapter calls upon those who were hesitant to accept the Prophet's message, as they found it strange that a human being was imparting the divine words of Allah. But this is neither strange nor related to sorcery. He simply informed them of two essential facts: firstly, that Allah, the Creator of all things, is your Lord and only He merits worship, and secondly, that in the hereafter you will be held to account for how you lived in this world. Whether you agree with these truths or not, they are realities and if accepted can bring salvation; otherwise, you will suffer due to your misdeeds.
