The summary/theme of the surah Al-Anbiya:

 The Holy Prophet and the chiefs of Makkah were involved in the conflict at the time of its revelation, and this Surah deals with objections and doubts concerning his Prophethood, the Doctrines of Tauhid, and the Hereafter.

Lesson learned from surah Al-Anbiya:

 

  1. The Day of Reckoning is drawing closer while we are still wandering in neglect.  
  2. Ask the people who know if you yourself don’t know.  
  3. Allāh cannot be questioned about what He does, whereas we will be questioned over our actions.  
  4. Every soul shall taste death.  
  5. The human is intrinsically hasty and impatient.
  6. Allāh created every living thing from water.  
  7. There will be thorough weighing of deeds on the Day of Judgement. 
  8. Ayyūb عليه السلام was afflicted with a serious illness, but instead of asking Allāh to remove it, he merely mentioned it and said, ‘You are the most merciful from those who show mercy.’ He couldn’t bring himself to ask Allāh to remove it: such was his disposition.  
  9. Allāh sent Muḥammad ﷺ as a mercy for the worlds.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أُمَّتُكُمۡ أُمَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ وَأَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُونِ
Transliteration:( Inna haaziheee ummatukum ummatanw waahidatanw wa Ana Rabbukum fa'budoon )

92. this religion of yours is a single religion (143), and I am your Lord, so worship Me (144),

وَتَقَطَّعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَهُم بَيۡنَهُمۡۖ كُلٌّ إِلَيۡنَا رَٰجِعُونَ
Transliteration:( Wa taqatta'ooo amrahum bainahum kullun ilainaaa raaji'oon (section 6) )

93. And others split up their affairs among themselves. All are to return to Us (145).

فَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنٞ فَلَا كُفۡرَانَ لِسَعۡيِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ كَٰتِبُونَ
Transliteration:( Famai ya'mal minas saalihaati wa huwa mu'minun falaa kufraana lisa'yihee wa innaa lahoo kaatiboon )

94. Then whosoever does righteous deeds and becomes a believer, then his efforts (146), are not disregarded and We are recording it (147).

وَحَرَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ قَرۡيَةٍ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهَآ أَنَّهُمۡ لَا يَرۡجِعُونَ
Transliteration:( Wa haraamun 'alaa qaryatin ahlaknaahaaa annahum laa yarji'oon )

95. And it is forbidden to town, which We have destroyed, that they returned (148).

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فُتِحَتۡ يَأۡجُوجُ وَمَأۡجُوجُ وَهُم مِّن كُلِّ حَدَبٖ يَنسِلُونَ
Transliteration:( Hattaaa izaa futihat Ya'jooju wa Ma'jooju wa hum min kulli hadabiny yansiloon )

96. Until (149), when Ya'jooj and Ma'jooj (150), would be let loose and they would be coming down from every height.

وَٱقۡتَرَبَ ٱلۡوَعۡدُ ٱلۡحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِيَ شَٰخِصَةٌ أَبۡصَٰرُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يَٰوَيۡلَنَا قَدۡ كُنَّا فِي غَفۡلَةٖ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا بَلۡ كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ
Transliteration:( Waqtarabal wa'dul haqqu fa-izaa hiya shaakhisatun absaarul lazeena kafaroo yaawailanaa qad kunna fee ghaflatin min haaza bal kunnaa zaalimeen )

97. And the true promise drew near, then the eyes of the infidels (151), will remain staring and woe to us. Undoubtedly, we were headless of this and rather we were unjust (152),

إِنَّكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمۡ لَهَا وَٰرِدُونَ
Transliteration:( Innakum wa maa ta'budoona min doonil laahi hasabu Jahannama antum lahaa waaridoon )

98. Undoubtedly, you and whatever you worship besides Allah, all are the fuel (153), of the Hell, and you have to enter therein.

لَوۡ كَانَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ءَالِهَةٗ مَّا وَرَدُوهَاۖ وَكُلّٞ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
Transliteration:( Law kaana haaa'ulaaa'i aalihatan maa waradoohaa wa kullun feehaa khaalidoon )

99. If these had been gods, they would not have gone to Hell (154), and all shall abide therein (155).

لَهُمۡ فِيهَا زَفِيرٞ وَهُمۡ فِيهَا لَا يَسۡمَعُونَ
Transliteration:( Lahum feehaa zafeerunw wa hum feehaa laa yasma'oon )

100. They will groan therein and they will hear nothing in it (156).

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقَتۡ لَهُم مِّنَّا ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰٓ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ عَنۡهَا مُبۡعَدُونَ
Transliteration:( Innal lazeena sabaqat lahum minnal husnaaa ulaaa'ika 'anhaa mub'adoon )

101. Undoubtedly, those for whom Our promise of good has already gone forth, they have been kept away (157) from the Hell.
