The summary/ theme of the surah Al-Araf

Al-Araf is one of the most detailed Surahs about the origins of creation and revealing prophecies about the judgment day. In the beginning, it describes how Satan forced Adam and Eve to leave heaven and they all came down to earth. From that point on, Satan became humanity's greatest enemy.

Lesson learned from Surah Al-Araf

  1. Our actions will be weighed on the Day of Judgement, and if the scale of good outweighs the bad, we will have succeeded, otherwise, we will be losers.
  2. Trying to expose someone’s private parts is a satanic act; it is the very motive Shayṭān had in convincing Ādam and Ḥawwā عليهما السلام to eat from the forbidden tree.
  3. Clothes are a blessing from Allāh.
  4. We should dress well when going to the Masjid.
  5. Don’t be extravagant.
  6. There will be no malice in the hearts of the people of Jannah.
  7. Regularly make this du‘ā:  رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ‘
  8. O Allāh! Pour upon us patience, and take our souls with Islām.’
  9. Sometimes, we have to control our emotions and look at the bigger picture.
  10. Imagine the relationship Mūsā عليه السلام had with Allāh, when Allāh punished the Banū Isrā’īl, Mūsā interceded saying, “If You so wished, You could have destroyed them and myself. Will You destroy us due to the actions of the foolish among us? [After all] it is Your trial; You let astray whomsoever You wish, and guide whomsoever You wish. You are our guardian, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the forgivers!”
  11. The Mercy of Allāh encompasses everything.
  12. Allāh tests us through good and bad, so that we can mend our ways.
  13. Allāh does not let the actions of those who do good go to waste.
  14. When Shayṭān whispers to you, recite ta‘awwudh: أّعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْم
  15. When the Qur’ān is being recited, remain silent and listen attentively; this will lead to Allāh showing mercy upon you.

Recitation   Benefits of surah Al-Araf

There are count less benefits we are sharing few as below,

1) If you write Surat Araf and wear, then the wearer will be  safe from enemies and wild animals. If you writes this surah with rose water and saffron on paper and hangs it around his neck, so long it remains there, no carnivorous animal would touch him.

2) Recitation of Surat Araf once in a month, will not fear on Day of Judgement Qiyamah. Whoso recites this surat every month would be on the day of judgement, among those about whom verse 35 of this surah says:“No fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.”

3) Those who recite Surah Al Araf often will set a Veil/curtain between shaitan and reciter.

4) If this surah is recited on Friday, the reciter would not be examined on the day of reckoning. This surah would be a witness for the reciter on the day of judgement. On the day of judgement Allah would hang a curtain between the reciter of this surah and Shaytan, and he would be treated as the companions of prophet Adam.

About Al-Araf, this sûrah takes its name from the heights mentioned in verse 46. It is a captivating and profound chapter of the Quran that transports us to Mecca during the time of revelation. Like many other Meccan sûrahs, it beautifully recounts the stories of earlier prophets who faced rejection and denial from their own people, only to witness their ultimate destruction as a consequence. These narratives serve as reassurance for the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and act as a stark warning to his community about Allāh's impending torment if they persist on their path of disbelief.

Within this sacred text, we encounter an enthralling retelling of Satan's audacity and Adam's temptation in Paradise, leading to their fall from grace. The intricate details shared here provide invaluable lessons for believers regarding vigilance against Satan's cunning whispers and constant temptations that can lead them astray. This narrative serves as a reminder for believers to remain steadfast in their faith and actively guard themselves against any deceptive influences or distractions along their spiritual journey.

Furthermore, what distinguishes this sûrah are the awe-inspiring descriptions it offers concerning Paradise and Hellfire. Through vivid imagery woven into verses 36-53, readers are transported into realms beyond imagination; where eternal bliss awaits those who strive towards righteousness with unwavering devotion while everlasting punishment looms over those who defiantly reject Allāh's guidance.

The powerlessness of idols is another crucial aspect emphasized throughout Al-Araf. By highlighting how
