Commentary of Verse 📖⚖️ Quran 70:7 (Surah Al-Ma'arij)

✨ But, We See It Nearby

  1. The Nearness of Punishment
🔹 The punishment of the Day of Judgment is closer than human perception in terms of both wisdom and time.

  2. The Beginning of Punishment
🔹 The effects of punishment start soon after a person dies, and nothing is beyond the power of Allah(اللَّهُ.).

Ibn-Kathir

The tafsir of Surah Al-Ma’arij verse 7 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Maarij ayat 1 which provides the complete commentary from verse 1 through 7.

(70:7) while We think that it is near at hand.[7]

Ala-Maududi

(70:7) while We think that it is near at hand.[7]

7. This can have two meanings:

(1) That these people think it cannot possibly take place, and in Our view it is going to take place very soon.

(2) That these people think Resurrection is yet remote and far off, and in Our sight it is close at hand and may occur any moment.

(7) But We see it [as] near.
