Transliteration:( Wa laa tarkanooo ilal lazeena zalamoo fatamassa kumun Naaru wa maa lakum min doonil laahi min awliyaaa'a summa laa tunsaroon )
"And do not incline towards those who have wronged [219], lest the Fire should touch you, and you have no protector besides Allah; then you will not be helped [220]."
Here, 'wrongdoers' refers to infidels, apostates, and misguided people, while leaning towards them means:
keeping friendly or social contact with them,
showing approval of their deeds,
showing softness in opposing them,
or flattering them, etc.
None of these acts should be shown towards any infidel.
This tells us that Allah Almighty appoints helpers for the believers, because the absence of helpers for the infidels is a form of punishment for them.
We also learn that inclination of friendship towards the infidels is infidelity, because Allah Almighty has ordained this punishment for it —
i.e., coming of punishment upon them and absence of any helper for them.
