Transliteration:( Fa 'aqaroohaa faqaala tamatta'oo fee daarikum salaasata aiyaamin zaalika wa'dun ghairu makzoob )
"Then they hamstrung [138] her. Saleh said, 'Enjoy [139] yourselves in your dwellings for three days. This is a promise that will not be falsified.'"
✅ [138] The Hamstringing of the She-Camel
The people of Thamud, in their disobedience, hamstrung the she-camel, cutting its legs, which was a direct violation of Allah’s command. Hazrat Saleh (peace be upon him) had warned them that if they harmed the she-camel, they would face punishment. The camel was killed on a Wednesday night, and by Sunday, Allah’s punishment descended upon them. Hazrat Saleh (peace be upon him) had foretold that their faces would first turn yellow, then red, and finally black over the course of three days, and this prophecy came true exactly as predicted. This event demonstrates that the beloved servants of Allah possess divine knowledge and are made aware of future events by Allah, reinforcing their role as true messengers.
✅ [139] Divine Knowledge of the End
Hazrat Saleh (peace be upon him) knew through Divine knowledge that the people would meet their end in three days. This knowledge of their imminent death and the exact timing of it was part of the five types of Divine knowledge granted to the Prophets. The prophets are blessed with the ability to know what Allah has decreed for the future, which is a sign of their truthfulness and divine connection. The specific knowledge of death or punishment is a privilege of the Prophets, showing that their message is backed by Divine certainty and authority.
