Transliteration:( Wa tilka 'aad, jahadoo bi Aayaati Rabbihim wa 'asaw Rusulahoo wattaba'ooo amra kulli jabbaarin 'aneed )
"And these are 'Aad. They denied the signs of their Lord and disobeyed [123] His messengers. They followed the command of every rebellious, obstinate tyrant."
✅ [123] Rejection of the Prophet and Punishment
The verse indicates that the punishment of Allah comes as a consequence of rejecting the Prophet and disobeying Allah’s commands. Even if an individual claims divinity, their rejection of the Prophet leads to divine punishment. Allah confirms this principle in Surah Al-Isra (17:15): "And We are not to punish until We have sent a Messenger," meaning that divine retribution is preceded by the delivery of Allah’s message. Furthermore, rejecting one Prophet is equivalent to rejecting all the Prophets. Even though the people of ‘Aad were sent only one Prophet—Hazrat Hud (peace be upon him)—the verse uses the plural term "prophets". This signifies that rejection of one Prophet is a rejection of the core message shared by all Prophets: the Oneness of Allah. Therefore, their disbelief in Hazrat Hud (peace be upon him) equates to a rejection of the entire prophetic mission.

Please refer to Surah Hud ayat 57 which provides the complete commentary from verse 57 through 60.
(11:59) Such were ‘Ad. They repudiated the signs of their Lord, disobeyed His Messengers,[65] and followed the bidding of every tyrannical enemy of the truth.
65. Though only one Messenger had come to them, he had presented the same message that had been presented by every Messenger in every age to every community. Therefore disobedience to one Messenger has been declared to be disobedience to all the Messengers.
