📖 Commentary of Surah Hud – Verse 42

"And it is sailing with them amidst waves like mountains [89]. And Nuh called his son [90], 'Embark with us and be not with the disbelievers' [91]."

✅ [89] The Waves Like Mountains

This verse describes the immense waves during the great flood, which were so massive they appeared like mountains. The Ark, carrying Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) and the believers, sailed through these perilous waves, illustrating the magnitude of the storm and the challenge they faced. It also serves as a powerful metaphor for the overwhelming trials of faith and the strength needed to withstand them.

✅ [90] Hazrat Nuh’s Plea to His Son

Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) called his son to embark on the Ark and join the believers. He urged him not to stay with the disbelievers, emphasizing the importance of faith and survival through obedience to Allah. Despite being part of Hazrat Nuh’s family, his son chose to remain with the disbelievers, highlighting the difficult choices faced by individuals when confronted with the message of faith.

✅ [91] The Choice of Faith or Disbelief

This verse emphasizes that even family members may choose disbelief, and no one is automatically saved simply by virtue of their relationship with a Prophet. The choice of faith over disbelief is essential for salvation, and Hazrat Nuh’s call to his son reflects his deep concern for his son’s spiritual well-being and desire for him to be saved.
