📖 Commentary of Surah Yunus – Verse 56

"He gives life and causes death, and to Him you shall return [157]." (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

[157] Compulsory Return to Allah

The verse emphasizes that Allah is the One who gives life and causes death, and to Him, all will return. For the disbelievers, this return to Allah is compulsory, as they have no choice. However, for the believers, their return is not forced but is a joyful reunion, akin to a friend returning happily to a friend. The believer longs for the return to Allah and is eager to meet their Creator with peace and satisfaction.
