The Spider(Arabic: العنكبوت, al-‘ankabÅ«t) is the 29th chapter (surah) of the Quran with 69 verses (āyāt).

The summary/theme of the surah al-‘ankabÅ«t: 

Muslims who are sincere are strengthened by this Surah, and those who are weak in their faith are admonished. During those days, some young men faced questions regarding Islam, and their parents encouraged them to return to their ancestral religion in place of Islam. This Surah also addresses these questions.

Lesson learned from  surah al-‘ankabÅ«t: 

  1. Do we think that we will be left alone without being tested on our Īmān? Being tested is inevitable.  
  2. Allāh gives parables and examples in the Qur’ān that only the knowledgeable understand.  
  3. á¹¢alāh performed properly will stop you from committing sins.  
  4. Every soul shall taste death  
  5. The life of the Hereafter is one worth living and anticipating.  
  6. Whoever strives in the way of Allāh, Allāh will guide him/her.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡلِيَآءَ كَمَثَلِ ٱلۡعَنكَبُوتِ ٱتَّخَذَتۡ بَيۡتٗاۖ وَإِنَّ أَوۡهَنَ ٱلۡبُيُوتِ لَبَيۡتُ ٱلۡعَنكَبُوتِۚ لَوۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡلَمُونَ
 Transliteration:( Masalul lazeenat takhazoo min doonil laahi awliyaaa'a kamasalil 'ankaboot, ittakhazat baitaa; wa inna awhanal buyooti la baitul 'ankaboot; law kaanoo ya'lamoon )

41. The examples of those who have made guardians other than Allah, is like the spider (101). She has made (102) a house of cobwebs. And undoubtedly, the frailest of all houses is the house of the spider (103), What a good thing it would have been if they knew (104)

42. Allah knows whatever they worship (105) besides Allah. And He it is the Mighty, the Wise (106),

43. And these examples We narrate to the people (107), and none understand them but learned.

ٱتۡلُ مَآ أُوحِيَ إِلَيۡكَ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۖ إِنَّ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ تَنۡهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَٱلۡمُنكَرِۗ وَلَذِكۡرُ ٱللَّهِ أَكۡبَرُۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تَصۡنَعُونَ
 Transliteration:( Utlu maaa oohiya ilaika minal Kitaabi wa aqimis Salaata innas Salaata tanhaa 'anil fahshaaa'i wal munkar; wa lazikrul laahi akbar; wal laahu ya'lamu maa tasna'oon (End Juz 20) )

45. O, beloved! Recite (110) the Book that has been revealed to you, and establish prayer (111). Undoubtedly, the prayer forbids one from indecency and evil thing (112). And no doubt, the remembrance of Allah is the greatest (113). And Allah knows what you do (114).

۞وَلَا تُجَٰدِلُوٓاْ أَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِلَّا بِٱلَّتِي هِيَ أَحۡسَنُ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنۡهُمۡۖ وَقُولُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱلَّذِيٓ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡنَا وَأُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكُمۡ وَإِلَٰهُنَا وَإِلَٰهُكُمۡ وَٰحِدٞ وَنَحۡنُ لَهُۥ مُسۡلِمُونَ
 Transliteration:( Wa laa tujaadilooo Ahlal Kitaabi illaa billatee hiya ahsanu illal lazeena zalamoo minhum wa qoolooo aamannaa billazeee unzila ilainaa wa unzila ilaikum wa illaahunna wa ilahukum waahidunw-wa nahnu lahoo muslimoon )

46. and O Muslims! Dispute not with the people of the Book but in a better manner (115), except those of them who did wrong (116) and say, we have believed in that which has been sent down to us (117) and our god and your god is one and we have submitted before Him' (118).

47. And 0 beloved! In the same manner, We have sent down the Book to you (119). Then those whom we gave the Book, believe in it (120) and there are some of these persons who believe in it (121). And no one denies Our signs but the infidels (122).

48. And you did not recite (123) the Book before and nor you use to write down anything with your hands, in that case the followers of falsehood would have been doubted (124).

49. Rather it is bright signs in the breasts of those who have been given knowledge (125), And none denies Our signs but the unjust (126).

50. And they said, 'Why were the signs not sent down upon them from his Lord? (127). Say you, 'The signs are with Allah' (128). And I am indeed a clear Warner.
