The summary/theme of the surah Al-Qasas:

 The revelation of surah Qasas was intended to give the promise of victory to those believers who were a minority before migrating from Mecca to Medina and endured the most difficult conditions at the time of the Prophet.

Lesson learned from surah Al-Qasas:

  1. If Allāh wants something doing, His plans for it are meticulous.  
  2. You cannot give hidāyah (guidance) to whomsoever you love and wish to; it is only Allāh that gives hidāyah.  
  3. Allāh knows what the chests conceal and what they expose.  
  4. If Allāh was to cause persistent daylight, there is no power that can cause nightfall.  
  5. If Allāh was to cause persistent nightfall, there is no power besides Him that can bring daylight.  
  6. Do not become exceedingly happy; Allāh doesn’t like such people.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

أَفَمَن وَعَدۡنَٰهُ وَعۡدًا حَسَنٗا فَهُوَ لَٰقِيهِ كَمَن مَّتَّعۡنَٰهُ مَتَٰعَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ مِنَ ٱلۡمُحۡضَرِينَ
 Transliteration:( Afamanw wa'adnaahu wa'dan hasanan fahuwa laaqeehi kamam matta'naahu mataa'al hayaatid dunyaa summa huwa Yawmal Qiyaamati minal muhdareen )

61. Is then he whom we promised a goodly promise with which he will meet like him whom we allowed to enjoy the provision (158) on the Day of Resurrection he will be presented arrested? (159)

 Transliteration:( Qaalal lazeena haqqa 'alaihimul qawlu Rabbanaa haaa'ulaaa'il lazeena aghwainaa aghwainaahu kamaa ghawainaa tabarraanaaa ilaika maa kaanoo iyyaanaa ya'budoon )

63. Those against whom the word has been proved will (161) say, 'O our Lord, these are they whom we led astray, we led them astray as we were strayed ourselves (162) We return to you being disgusted with them. They worshipped us not', (163)

 Transliteration:( Wa qeelad 'oo shurakaaa'akum fada'awhum falam yastajeeboo lahum wa ra awul 'azaab; law annahum kaanoo yahtadoon )

64. And it shall be said to them, call your partners, (164) therefore they will call, but they shall not hear them and they shall see the torment. What a good thing would have been if they had got the way?

68. And your Lord creates what so ever he will and chooses (168). They have no choice (169), sanctified and exalted is Allah from their association.
