The summary/theme of the surah Al-Qasas:

 The revelation of surah Qasas was intended to give the promise of victory to those believers who were a minority before migrating from Mecca to Medina and endured the most difficult conditions at the time of the Prophet.

Lesson learned from surah Al-Qasas:

  1. If Allāh wants something doing, His plans for it are meticulous.  
  2. You cannot give hidāyah (guidance) to whomsoever you love and wish to; it is only Allāh that gives hidāyah.  
  3. Allāh knows what the chests conceal and what they expose.  
  4. If Allāh was to cause persistent daylight, there is no power that can cause nightfall.  
  5. If Allāh was to cause persistent nightfall, there is no power besides Him that can bring daylight.  
  6. Do not become exceedingly happy; Allāh doesn’t like such people.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

فَخَسَفۡنَا بِهِۦ وَبِدَارِهِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ فَمَا كَانَ لَهُۥ مِن فِئَةٖ يَنصُرُونَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنتَصِرِينَ
 Transliteration:( Fakhasafnaa bihee wa bidaarihil arda famaa kaana lahoo min fi'atiny yansuroo nahoo min doonil laahi wa maa kaana minal muntasireen )

81. Then We caused him and his home to sink into the earth, and he had party with him that it may help (202) him to save against Allah nor he could take revenge.

وَأَصۡبَحَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوۡاْ مَكَانَهُۥ بِٱلۡأَمۡسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيۡكَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبۡسُطُ ٱلرِّزۡقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَقۡدِرُۖ لَوۡلَآ أَن مَّنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَاۖ وَيۡكَأَنَّهُۥ لَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
 Transliteration:( Wa asbahal lazeena tamannaw makaanahoo bil amsi yaqooloona waika annal laaha yabsutur rizqa limany ya shaaa'u min 'ibaadihee wa yaqdiru law laaa am mannal laahu 'alainaa lakhasafa binaa waika annahoo laa yuflihul kaafiroon (section 8) )

82. And in the morning (203) those who had wished for his position day before, began to say, ‘Allah increases the provision for whomever of his bondmen he pleases, and straitens (204) for whom so ever He wills. If Allah had not been gracious to us, we too had been caused to sink. Ah!, there is no good for infidels (205)

تِلۡكَ ٱلدَّارُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ نَجۡعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوّٗا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا فَسَادٗاۚ وَٱلۡعَٰقِبَةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
 Transliteration:( Tilkad Daarul Aakhiratu naj'aluhaa lillazeena laa yureedoona 'uluwwan fil ardi wa laa fasaadaa; wal 'aaqibatu lilmuttaqeen )

83. This home of the hereafter, (206) We assign it to those who desire not exaltation in the earth, nor disorder (207). And the end is only for those who are pious(208).

84. Whoever brings good, for him in better than it, (209) and whoever brings sin, the doer of evil shall not be recompensed but what they did,(210)

 Transliteration:( Innal lazee farada 'alaikal Qur-aana laraaadduka ilaa ma'aad; qur Rabbeee a'lamu man jaaa'a bil hudaa wa man huwa fee dalaalim mubeen )

85. Undoubtedly, He who has made the Quran (211) binding on you will bring you back where you desire to return. Say you, “my Lord (212) all knows him well who has brought the guidance and him who is in open error”. (213)

87. And let them never bar you from the signs of Allah after they have been sent down to you(216), and call towards your Lord (217) and be never among polytheists.” (218)

88. And worship (219) not another god with Allah. There is no god besides Him (220) everything is perishable save His being. His is the Command (221) and towards Him you shall be returned (222),
