The summary / Theme of the Surah Al-Baqara

The Cow - Al Baqarah (The title of this surah refers to an argument between Moses and the Israelites over a cow they should sacrifice in order to make known the murder of a slain man. This is the longest of all the surah, numbering 286 ayah or verses.

Lesson Learned from Surah Al-Baqara

  1. It is sometimes better not to ask too many questions when instructed to do something. The Jews did this and ended up in trouble.
  2. Be grateful for what you have. 
  3. Don’t do anything that resembles the disbelievers, or will lead them to take your actions as legislation to attack the Dīn. In short, the principle of Sadd-Adh-Dharā‘i’.
  4. Whatever good you send forth for the Hereafter, you will find it there safe and appreciated by Allāh.
  5. You shall never be able to please the Jews and the Christians unless you join them in their religion. 
  6. The relationship between Allāh and the Prophet ﷺ was immensely enviable. 
  7. Ṣabr (Patience) has great virtue: Allāh showers the patient with mercy and guidance.
  8. Eat ḥalāl
  9. Constantly ponder over the creation of Allāh and His blessings, and remember Him. 
  10. There are constant severe warnings for disbelief in the Qur’ān.  
  11.  The status of Shuhadā is indeed great. 
  12. Will should be made.  
  13. The aim of fasting is to create taqwā in the hearts of the believers.  
  14. Regularly make the following du‘ā, especially at the time of Ḥajj
  15.  رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنۡيَا حَسَنَةً۬ وَفِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً۬ وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ 
  16. Enter into Islām in its totality; don’t pick and choose from the Dīn.  
  17. Allāh is ever ready to accept the du‘ās of His servants.  
  18. There are times when we say we are ready to do a certain thing but when that becomes binding on us, we back out. This is reprehensible behavior.
  19. The Help of Allāh will come, albeit sometimes belatedly.  
  20. Allāh does as He wishes; He is not accountable for His actions.  
  21. Spending: the do’s, don’ts, and virtues.
  22. Refrain from asking people for your needs; remain independent from the people, as special praise has been reserved for those who do, despite being in need.
  23. Stay away from interest, as Allāh declares war on those who deal in interest. 
  24. Loans should be written down and dealt with properly.  
  25. Allāh does not make obligatory upon us those things which we are incapable of carrying out. 

Recitation Benefits of Surah Fatiha:

  2. Recite Surah Fatiha 40 times and blow on the patient who is suffering from high fever, and also blow on water and make him drink it, In sha Allah fever will go away.
  3. Recite Surah Fatiha 41 times with complete Bismillah every time between farz and sunnah of Fajar salat and blow on the patient who has any serious disease, and also blow on water and make him/her drink it, Insha’ALLAH, Patient will get Shifa. 
  4. Recite Surat Fatiha 7 times while holding head of the patient who have headache For headache, and repeat the verse no 4 (iyak anaubdu wa iyak anastaeen) thrice, every time and then blow. Insha’ALLAH, Patient will get Shifa.
  5. Another benefits of Surah Fatiha Recitation on first night of new moon with Bismillah every time, 30 times, it will avoid all the evils for the whole month, total Protection.
  6. Recite Surah Fatiha 100 times with Bismillah every time to fulfill any Hajat or wish.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

كَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا فِيكُمۡ رَسُولٗا مِّنكُمۡ يَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا وَيُزَكِّيكُمۡ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُم مَّا لَمۡ تَكُونُواْ تَعۡلَمُونَ
Transliteration:( kamaaa arsalnaa feekum Rasoolam minkum yatloo 'alaikum aayaatina wa yuzakkeekum wa yu'alli mukumul kitaaba wal hikmata wa yu'allimukum maa lam takoonoo ta'lamoon )

151.Just as We have sent among you a Rasool (Messenger) (318) from yourselves, who recites to you Our verses and purifies (319) teaches you the Book and wisdom and teaches you that which you knew not (320).

فَٱذۡكُرُونِيٓ أَذۡكُرۡكُمۡ وَٱشۡكُرُواْ لِي وَلَا تَكۡفُرُونِ
Transliteration:( Fazkurooneee azkurkum washkuroo lee wa laa takfuroon )

152. So remember Me, I shall remember you (321) and be grateful to Me and never be ungrateful (322).

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱسۡتَعِينُواْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
Transliteration:( Yaaa ayyuhal laazeena aamanus ta'eenoo bissabri was Salaah; innal laaha ma'as-saabireen )

153.0 you who believe! Seek help through patience and prayer (323) Surely, Allah is with those who have patience (324).

وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَن يُقۡتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَمۡوَٰتُۢۚ بَلۡ أَحۡيَآءٞ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَشۡعُرُونَ
Transliteration:( Wa laa taqooloo limai yuqtalu fee sabeelil laahi amwaat; bal ahyaaa'unw wa laakil laa tash'uroon )

154. And do not say about those who are slain (325) in the path of Allah (326) as dead (327). Rather, they are alive, but you are unaware of it (328).

وَلَنَبۡلُوَنَّكُم بِشَيۡءٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡخَوۡفِ وَٱلۡجُوعِ وَنَقۡصٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَمۡوَٰلِ وَٱلۡأَنفُسِ وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
Transliteration:( Wa lanablu wannakum bishai'im minal khawfi waljoo'i wa naqsim minal amwaali wal anfusi was samaraat; wa bashshiris saabireen )

155. And We will surely test (329) you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and lives and fruits. And give glad-tidings to the patient.

ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَٰبَتۡهُم مُّصِيبَةٞ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيۡهِ رَٰجِعُونَ
Transliteration:( Allazeena izaaa asaabathum museebatun qaalooo innaa lillaahi wa innaaa ilaihi raaji'oon )

156. Those when they are afflicted by some misfortune say: "Surely, we belong to Allah and to Him is our return".

أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ صَلَوَٰتٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ وَرَحۡمَةٞۖ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُهۡتَدُونَ
Transliteration:( Ulaaa'ika 'alaihim salawaatun mir Rabbihim wa rahma; wa ulaaa'ika humul muhtadoon )

157. Those are the ones upon whom are blessings and Mercy (330) from their Lord, and it is those who are rightly guided.

۞إِنَّ ٱلصَّفَا وَٱلۡمَرۡوَةَ مِن شَعَآئِرِ ٱللَّهِۖ فَمَنۡ حَجَّ ٱلۡبَيۡتَ أَوِ ٱعۡتَمَرَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَاۚ وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيۡرٗا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
Transliteration:( Innas Safaa wal-Marwata min sha'aaa'iril laahi faman hajjal Baita awi'tamara falaa junaaha 'alaihi ai yattawwafa bihimaa; wa man tatawwa'a khairan fa innal laaha Shaakirun'Aleem )

158. Surely, Safa and Marwa are of the symbols (331) of Allah. Then whosoever performs Hajj and Umrah of the Sacred House, there is no sin (332) upon him walking between (333) the two of them. And whoever volunteers to do any good, then, surely, Allah is the Most Appreciative, All-Knowing (334).

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكۡتُمُونَ مَآ أَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلۡهُدَىٰ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا بَيَّنَّـٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ يَلۡعَنُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَلۡعَنُهُمُ ٱللَّـٰعِنُونَ
Transliteration:( Innal lazeena yaktumoona maaa anzalnaa minal baiyinaati walhudaa mim ba'di maa baiyannaahu linnaasi fil kitaabi ulaaa'ika yal'anuhumul laahu wa yal'anuhumul laa 'inoon )

159. Surely, those (335) who conceal (336)what We have sent down as clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people (337) in the Scripture. Upon them is the curse of Allah and the curse of those who curse.

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُواْ وَأَصۡلَحُواْ وَبَيَّنُواْ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَتُوبُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَأَنَا ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Transliteration:( Illal lazeena taaboo wa aslahoo wa baiyanoo fa ulaaa'ika atoobu 'alaihim; wa Anat Tawwaabur Raheem )

160. Except for those who repent and reform themselves and make evident (what they concealed). So, I (will) accept their repentance (338)And verily, I am the Most Relenting, the ever Merciful.
