بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُۥ رَبُّهُۥٓ أَسۡلِمۡۖ قَالَ أَسۡلَمۡتُ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Transliteration:( Iz qaala lahoo Rabbuhooo aslim qaala aslamtu li Rabbil 'aalameen )
131. And recall when his Lord said to him: "Submit". He replied: "I have submitted to Him Who is the Lord of the Worlds".
وَوَصَّىٰ بِهَآ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعۡقُوبُ يَٰبَنِيَّ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ
Transliteration:( Wa wassaa bihaaa Ibraaheemu baneehi wa Ya'qoob, yaa baniyya innal laahas tafaa lakumud deena falaa tamootunna illaa wa antum muslimoon )
132.And Ebrahim instructed his sons to do the same and so did Yaqub (saying): "O my sons! Indeed Allah has chosen for you the religion, so die not except as Muslims" (265),
أَمۡ كُنتُمۡ شُهَدَآءَ إِذۡ حَضَرَ يَعۡقُوبَ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ إِذۡ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِيۖ قَالُواْ نَعۡبُدُ إِلَٰهَكَ وَإِلَٰهَ ءَابَآئِكَ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسۡحَٰقَ إِلَٰهٗا وَٰحِدٗا وَنَحۡنُ لَهُۥ مُسۡلِمُونَ
Transliteration:( Am kuntum shuhadaaa'a iz hadara Ya'qoobal mawtu iz qaala libaneehi maa ta'budoona mim ba'dee qaaloo na'budu ilaahaka wa ilaaha aabaaa'ika Ibraaheema wa Ismaa'eela wa Ishaaqa Ilaahanw waahidanw wa nahnu lahoo muslimoon )
133. Well, were you present when death came to Yaqub (266) when he asked his sons: "Whom will worship after me?" They said: “We will worship only Him whom who is worthy of worship and the worship of your forefathers Ebrahim, Ismail and Ishaag. Only One God (267) and to Him do we submitâ€
تِلۡكَ أُمَّةٞ قَدۡ خَلَتۡۖ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتۡ وَلَكُم مَّا كَسَبۡتُمۡۖ وَلَا تُسۡـَٔلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ
Transliteration:( Tilka ummatun qad khalat lahaa maa kasabat wa lakum maa kasabtum wa laa tus'aloona 'ammaa kaanoo ya'maloon )
134. That was a nation that has passed on, they will have what they have earned and you will have what you have earned and you will not be questioned for their deeds (268),
وَقَالُواْ كُونُواْ هُودًا أَوۡ نَصَٰرَىٰ تَهۡتَدُواْۗ قُلۡ بَلۡ مِلَّةَ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ حَنِيفٗاۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
Transliteration:( Wa qaaloo koonoo Hoodan aw Nasaaraa tahtadoo; qul bal Millata Ibraaheema Haneefanw wa maa kaana minal mushrikeen )
135. And they (people of the Book) say: Be Yahud or Nasara, so you will be guided". Please declare (O Muhammad): “Rather we follow the religion of Ebrahim, inclining towards truth (269) and he was not of the polytheists"(270)
قُولُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَىٰٓ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسۡحَٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوبَ وَٱلۡأَسۡبَاطِ وَمَآ أُوتِيَ مُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَمَآ أُوتِيَ ٱلنَّبِيُّونَ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيۡنَ أَحَدٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ وَنَحۡنُ لَهُۥ مُسۡلِمُونَ
Transliteration:( Qoolooo aamannaa billaahi wa maaa unzila ilainaa wa maaa unzila ilaaa Ibraaheema wa Ismaa'eela wa Ishaaqa wa Ya'qooba wal Asbaati wa maaootiya Moosa wa 'Eesaa wa maaa ootiyan Nabiyyoona mir Rabbihim laa nufarriqoo baina ahadim minhum wa nahnu lahoo muslimoon )
136. Say (O Muslims): "We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Ebrahim, Ismail, Ishaaq (271), Yaqub and the descendants (272) and what has been bestowed upon Musa and Isa and what has been bestowed to the rest of the Prophets (273)from their Lord. (We make no distinction in faith (274) between any of them and we have submitted to Him".
فَإِنۡ ءَامَنُواْ بِمِثۡلِ مَآ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦ فَقَدِ ٱهۡتَدَواْۖ وَّإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَإِنَّمَا هُمۡ فِي شِقَاقٖۖ فَسَيَكۡفِيكَهُمُ ٱللَّهُۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
Transliteration:( Fa in aamanoo bimisli maaa aamantum bihee faqadih tadaw wa in tawallaw fa innamaa hum fee shiqaaq; fasayakfeekahumul laah; wa Huwas Samee'ul Aleem )
137. So if they, too, believe in the same as you believe in (275), then they have been (rightly) guided, but if they turn away, then they are merely in dissension, and (O My Beloved) Allah will be sufficient (276) for you against them and surely Allah is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing (277).
صِبۡغَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَنۡ أَحۡسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ صِبۡغَةٗۖ وَنَحۡنُ لَهُۥ عَٰبِدُونَ
Transliteration:( Sibghatal laahi wa man ahsanu minal laahi sibghatanw wa nahnu lahoo 'aabidoon )
138. We take on the colour (Islamic. piety) (278) of Allah and whose colour is better than the colour of Allah? We worship Him alone.
قُلۡ أَتُحَآجُّونَنَا فِي ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمۡ وَلَنَآ أَعۡمَٰلُنَا وَلَكُمۡ أَعۡمَٰلُكُمۡ وَنَحۡنُ لَهُۥ مُخۡلِصُونَ
Transliteration:( Qul atuhaaajjoonanaa fil laahi wa Huwa Rabbunaa wa Rabbukum wa lanaa a'maalunaa wa lakum a'maalukum wa nahnu lahoo mukhlisoon )
139. Please declare (O Muhammad): "Do you dispute (279) with concerning Allah, while He is our Lord and your Lord? For us are our deeds and for you are your deeds. And we are sincere (in deed and Intention) to Him alone" (280).
أَمۡ تَقُولُونَ إِنَّ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسۡحَٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوبَ وَٱلۡأَسۡبَاطَ كَانُواْ هُودًا أَوۡ نَصَٰرَىٰۗ قُلۡ ءَأَنتُمۡ أَعۡلَمُ أَمِ ٱللَّهُۗ وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّن كَتَمَ شَهَٰدَةً عِندَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِۗ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ
Transliteration:( Am taqooloona inna Ibraaheema wa Ismaa'eela wa Ishaaqa wa Ya'qooba wal asbaata kaanoo Hoodan aw Nasaaraa; qul 'a-antum a'lamu amil laah; wa man azlamu mimman katama shahaadatan 'indahoo minallaah; wa mallaahu bighaafilin 'ammaa ta'maloon )
140. Or, do you say (281) that Ebrahim, Ismail ,Ishaaq , Yaqub and the descendants were Yahud or Nasara? Please declare O Muhammad: "Are you more knowing (282) or is Allah?And who is more unjustthan who conceals (283) a testimony he has from Allah? And Allah is not unmindful of what you do.
