Transliteration:( Wa laqad makkannaakum fil ardi wa ja'alnaa lakum feehaa ma'aayish; qaleelam maa tashkuroon )
13. From this we learn that man's abode is the earth, man's flying in the air for a little while, or the Holy Prophet's صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ascension to Heaven, or Hazrat Isa's (On whom be peace) staying in the Fourth Heaven, are all temporary in nature. Hence, from this verse one cannot reject Hazrat Isa's (On whom be peace) going to the heavens because his staying in the heavens is just as temporary as a person who stays for a few days at sea or when travelling by air.
14. Oh man We have provided nourishment, water, air, and sunlight on the earth so that you don't have to go to heaven or in the sea for them.
Â
10. And surely, We gave you authority on the earth and appointed for you therein livelihoods. Little thanks do you give.
Allah reminds of His favor on His servants in that He made the earth a fixed place for dwelling, placed firm mountains and rivers on it and made homes and allowed them to utilize its benefits. Allah made the clouds work for them (bringing rain) so that they may produce their sustenance from them. He also created the ways and means of earnings, commercial activities and other professions. Yet, most of them give liltle thanks for this. Allah said in another Ayah,
(And if you count the blessings of Allah, never will you be able to count them. Verily, man is indeed a wrongdoer, an ingrate.) ï´¿14:34ï´¾
