Transliteration:( Awa amina ahlul quraaa ai ya'tiyahum ba'sunaa duhanw wa hum yal'aboon )
Or, do the people of the towns feel secure that Our punishment may come upon them during the day while they are playing (232)?
This verse continues the warning to those who live heedlessly. It highlights that Allah’s punishment can come even during the day, in moments of play, amusement, and worldly indulgence. The timing of divine punishment is often during hours of neglect, such as late night or afternoon, when people are least prepared for it. The verse underscores that being absorbed in dunya, lost in entertainment and distractions, does not make one safe—it actually makes one more vulnerable to Allah’s wrath. True security lies in taqwa, not in leisure.
