Transliteration:( Wa laa yastatee'oona lahum nasranw wa laaa anfusahum yansuroon )
And neither have they any power to give help to anyone, nor can they help themselves [445].
This verse highlights the complete helplessness of idols—they cannot assist others, nor can they even defend themselves. If someone were to break them or if even a dog were to drag them, they would be unable to resist. Their inability to act, move, or protect themselves exposes the absurdity of idol worship.
It is important to note that this verse does not refer to believers who honor the righteous or revere shrines. The respect shown to the Ka'bah, the Black Stone, Maqām-e-Ibrāhīm, or even the graves of pious saints, is based on their connection to Allah, not because they are seen as deities. Thus, this verse addresses polytheistic practices, not Islamic reverence.
