Transliteration:( Fa arsalnaa 'alaihimut toofaana waljaraada walqum mala waddafaadi'a waddama Aayaatim mufassalaatin fastakbaroo wa kaanoo qawmam mujrimeen )
Then We sent upon them the flood (276), locusts (277), lice (278), frogs (279), and blood (280)—clear signs. But they became arrogant and were a people of sin.
A massive flood was the first of the punishments sent upon Pharaoh’s people. Homes were submerged, those sitting were drowned, and those standing sank up to their necks. Yet, the Israelites were completely spared. The punishment lasted from Saturday to Saturday, after which Pharaoh, in desperation, came to Musa (peace be upon him) with false promises of faith.
After the flood, swarms of locusts devoured grains, roofs, goods—even fingernails of the Qibtees. For seven days, everything was ravaged. Once again, they approached Musa promising to believe, and the punishment was lifted upon his prayer.
After breaking their promise again, they were afflicted with lice or weevil-like worms that clung to and consumed their skin. Even after crushing ten bags of grain, they barely obtained three kilos of flour. After a week of this torment, they once again begged Musa for relief.
A month later, they were punished with frogs everywhere—in food, water, ovens, and even wells. The plague lasted one week. Exhausted, they cried to Musa again, promising faith, and again, he prayed, and they were relieved.
After yet another betrayal, everything turned to blood—wells, fountains, curry, bread. Pharaoh ordered Israelites and Qibtees to eat from one dish, but blood appeared wherever the Qibtees touched. Even water from an Israelite’s jug turned to blood when poured into a Qibtee’s vessel. Gargled water became blood before it touched their mouths—a clear miracle showing divine separation between believer and denier.
Despite all these clear and repeated signs, Pharaoh and his people remained arrogant and steeped in sin, proving that miracles alone cannot guide those whose hearts are sealed.

(7:133) Then We afflicted them with a great flood [95] and locusts, and the lice[96] , and the frogs, and the blood. All these were distinct signs and yet they remained haughty. They were a wicked people.
95. This probably refers to the torrential rain accompanied by hailstorm. While we do not totally exclude the possibility of other kinds of storms, we are inclined to the view, that it probably signifies hailstorm since the Bible specifically mentions that. (See Exodus 9: 23-4 – Ed.)
96. The word used in the text – qummal – denotes lice, fleas, small locusts, mosquitoes, and weevil. This rather general term has been used in the Qur’an probably to suggest that while men were afflicted with lice and fleas, weevil destroyed the barns. (Cf. Exodus 7-12. See also Tafhim al-ur’an, (al-Zukhruf 43, n. 43.)
