The Summary/theme of the Surah Maryam:

There is a lot of emphasis in Surah 19 on Islamic Prophets, individuals who are chosen by God to spread an important message but are not themselves gods. A significant part of this surah emphasizes that while Jesus is a Prophet, he is not God's son and shouldn't be viewed that way

Lesson learned from Surah Maryam:

  1. No matter how audacious something may seem, never let that stop you from making du‘ā for it.  
  2. Dates are healthy for pregnant women.  
  3. Nothing is beyond the Power of Allāh.  
  4. Ibrāhīm عليه السلام strove for Allāh, and Allāh helped him due to it.  
  5. Everyone will have to cross Jahannam.  
  6. Each person will have to stand alone before Allāh on the Day of Judgement.  
  7. Allāh places love for the pious in the hearts of His creation.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقٗا نَّبِيًّا
 Transliteration:( Wazkur fil Kitaabi Ibraaheem; innahoo kaana siddeeqan Nabiyyaa )

41. And remember Ibrahim in the book. No doubt, he was truthful (69).

 Transliteration:( Iz qaala li abeehi yaaa abati lima ta'budu maa laa yasma'u wa laa yubsiru wa laa yughnee 'anka shai'aa )

42. When he said to his father (70), 'O my father, why do you worship that which neither hears nor sees and nor it is of any use to you (71).

43. O my father! Undoubtedly' there has come to me that knowledge which has not come to you (72), then follow me (73), I shall guide you to straight path.

45. O my father! fear that the torment of the Most Affectionate may reach you (76).Then you become the companion of the devil (Shaitaan).

46. He said, do you turn your face from my gods O Ibrahim? No doubt, if you would not desist (77); then I shall stone you, and be away from me for a good long time.

48. And I shall be apart from you and from all those whom you worship besides Allah (81) and I shall worship my Lord, it is near that by serving my Lord, I may not be unfortunate (82).

49. Then when he departed from them and from their deities besides Allah (83) We gave him Ishaque and Yaqub (84). And made each of them Prophets the communicator of unseen news.
