📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Qalam, Verse 38

"That you have surely, therein what you choose?"

[39] Refutation of the Disbelievers' Assumptions

  • In this verse, Allah addresses the disbelievers, questioning them about their unfounded claims that they would be better off than the believers in the Hereafter. Allah asks, "From where are you getting this information about the unseen?".

  • The verse challenges the disbelievers' assumptions by asking which heavenly book or divine revelation supports their claim. Allah makes it clear that no holy scripture has stated such a thing, and their beliefs are based on false hopes and ignorance.
