Transliteration:( Balaa man aslama wajhahoo lillaahi wa huwa muhsinun falahooo ajruhoo 'inda rabbihee wa laa khawfun 'alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon )
"Yes, indeed! Whoever submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good [223] will have his reward with his Lord, and they shall have nothing to fear nor shall they grieve [224]."
From this verse, we understand that good deeds will not be accepted unless one first accepts Islam.
🪴 Just as watering a tree is meaningless if the root is destroyed, similarly, Islam is the root, and good deeds are like water — they only benefit when the root (faith) is alive.
This verse reveals several important points:
All people of correct beliefs, whose good deeds are performed sincerely, are considered the true friends of Allah (Awliya Allah).
This verse refers to such righteous believers as being secure from fear and grief.
The phrase "doer of good" indicates that true guidance is now linked exclusively to Islam.
📖 Allah says:
“And whosoever desires a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him.” (Surah 3: Verse 85)
“Verily, the only religion before Allah is Islam.” (Surah 3: Verse 19)
If salvation was possible without accepting Islam, the Holy Prophet ﷺ would not have called people away from their religions.
He would have simply told everyone to remain on their faith and just do good deeds.
But this was not the case.
🛡️ Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to accept Islam for any deed to be valid and accepted before Allah.
