Transliteration:( Wa qaalal lazeenat taba'oo law anna lanaa karratan fanatabarra a minhum kamaa tabarra'oo minnaa; kazaalika yureehimullaahu a'maalahum hasaraatin 'alaihim wa maa hum bikhaarijeena minan Naar )
"And the followers will say: Alas! If we had another turn (at worldly life) [354], we would disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us. Thus, Allah will show them their (evil) deeds as a source of deep anguish [355] to them. And they are never to emerge from the (blazing) fire [356]." (Kanzul Imaan Translation)
Disbelievers' Regret: On the Day of Judgment, the followers of the infidel leaders will express regret, wishing they could return to worldly life. They will wish to disassociate from their leaders, just as those leaders disassociated from them when they are in torment.
Believers' Perspective: Unlike disbelievers, believers will never wish to return to the mundane world after death, as for them, death is an escape from the physical struggles of life.
Seeing the Consequences: On the Day of Judgment, the followers of infidel leaders will see their leaders' disgust and will wish to take vengeance by severing all ties with them. This regret will be a source of deep anguish as they realize the consequences of their actions.
Everlasting Punishment: The verse highlights that the disbelievers will never emerge from the blazing fire of Hell. Their evil deeds will cause them eternal suffering.
Difference with Believers: While sinners may also experience despondency, their good deeds will not be rejected like the disbelievers. Believers’ deeds, on the other hand, will bring them happiness and acceptance from Allah. The punishment of Hell for believers will not be everlasting, unlike for the disbelievers.

(2:167) And the followers will then say: “Oh if only we might return again, we would disown them as they have disowned us?” [165] Thus Allah will show them their works in a manner causing them bitter regrets. Never will they come out of the Fire.
165. Here particular reference is made to the dismal end of those so-called religious leaders who mislead people, and of their gullible followers who fall easy prey to their deception. This has been done in order to warn the Muslims to beware of the errors which misled former nations, and to impress upon them the need to develop the capacity to distinguish between true and spurious leaders so as to avoid being led by the latter.
