Transliteration:( Rabbanaa waj'alnaa muslimaini laka wa min zurriyyatinaaa ummatam muslimatal laka wa arinaa manaasikanaa wa tub 'alainaa innaka antat Tawwaabur Raheem )
"Our Lord! Make us submissive to Your will, and raise from our descendants [259] a nation that is submissive to You. Teach us the rituals of our worship, and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Most Relenting, the Ever Merciful."
In this verse, Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS) pray for:
Personal submission to Allah’s will
That a righteous nation be raised from their descendants—fully submissive to Allah
That Allah teaches them the correct rituals of worship
That Allah accepts their repentance and continues to shower mercy
📌 This verse reflects:
The deep foresight of Prophets in not just praying for themselves, but also for their future Ummah
The importance of correct method (manāsik) in worship, not just sincerity
From the acceptance of this du‘ā of Hazrat Ibrahim, we understand:
That the descendants of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, being from the lineage of Hazrat Ibrahim, were included in this accepted prayer
Therefore, it is understood that they will not go astray, for Allah granted guidance and mercy through this prayer
🕊️ This verse reinforces the spiritual rank and special status of the Ahl al-Bayt (household of the Prophet ﷺ), as they are among the fulfilment of this prophetic supplication.
