Transliteration:( Wa lai yatamannawhu abadam bimaa qaddamat aydeehim; wallaahu 'aleemum bizzaalimeen )
"And never will they [182] wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth (evil deeds). And Allah is the Best Knower of the unjust."
This verse delivers a prophecy of the unseen, which remains true until the Day of Qiyamah.
Despite their boastful claims of exclusive entry to Paradise, the Yahud never wished for death, because they knew the evil of their own deeds.
Their attachment to worldly life and desire to escape death reveals the hypocrisy in their claims.
In contrast, a true believer may wish for a longer life not out of love for the world, but to accumulate more good deeds and prepare for the Hereafter.
Thus, fear of death without cause often reflects a guilty conscience, while confidence in meeting Allah is a sign of true faith.
Allah alone is the Best Knower of who is just and who is unjust, and He exposes falsehood through people’s own actions.
