Transliteration:( Iny-yasha' yuzhibkum aiyuhan naasu wa ya'ti bi aakhareen; wa kaanal laahu 'alaa zaalika Qadeeraa )
“O People! If He pleases [399], He can take you away and bring others. And surely Allah has full power to do that.”
By “take you away”, it is meant that Allah can cause your death, removing your presence from the earth, and in your place, raise up other people.
This has been witnessed throughout history:
Allah took away the kingdom of Pharaoh and handed it over to the Israelites.
The Banu Quraiza were executed, and the Banu Nazeer were banished from Madinah, and their lands were occupied by others.
It can also mean that Allah can:
Compel people to abandon their countries,
Replace one ruling class with another, and
Make some nations subordinate to others.
As Allah says:
“You give the kingdom to whom You please and seize it from whom You please.” (Surah Aal Imran, 3:26)
In summary, Allah has absolute power over the rise and fall of nations, and He does whatever He wills—without limitation or opposition.
