    📖 Commentary of Surah An-Nisa – Verse 117

    “These polytheists worship not Allah, but some females [358] and worship not but a rebellious Shaitaan [359].”

    ✅ Idolizing False Deities in Female Form [358]

    The polytheists of Arabia falsely believed that angels were the daughters of Allah Almighty. Based on this, they began to worship them, claiming spiritual association.

    To give form to their beliefs, they made idols in the likeness of women, often representing deified females from ancient times, and decorated these idols with jewellery, treating them as objects of divine reverence.

    This practice reflected their deep ignorance and distorted theology, replacing the worship of the One True God with imagined female entities.

    ✅ Following the Rebellious Devil [359]

    Whoever abandons the path of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and chooses to follow a misguided figure is, in reality, following the path of Shaitaan.

    This is because all deviation and misguidance originates from none other than the rebellious devil, who is the true leader of all who are astray.

    Thus, the worship and obedience of those who follow false ideologies is, in effect, servitude to Shaitaan, whether knowingly or unknowingly.

    145. No one sets up Satan as his ‘god’ in the sense that he makes him the object of his ritual worship and declares him to be God in so many words. The way to make Satan one’s god is to entrust one’s reins to him and let oneself be drawn helplessly in whichever direction he wants; the relationship between the two is, then, that of worshipper and worshipped. This shows that either absolute, unreserved obedience to or blind following of anybody is tantamount to ‘worshipping’ him, so that whoever indulges in this kind of absolute obedience is guilty of worshipping a ‘god’ other than the One True God.
