قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِيٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ

Transliteration:( Qaala Rabbi fa anzirneee ilaa Yawmi yub'asoon )

79.He said: "O my Lord, if it is so then grant me respite till the day when they shall be raised [135]". (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

(79) He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." (Saheen International Translation)

📖 Commentary of Surah Saad – Verse 79

"He said: 'O my Lord, if it is so then grant me respite till the day when they shall be raised [135].'"

✅ [135] Iblis's Request for Delay

Iblis asked Allah for respite until the Day of Resurrection, not out of repentance, but so he could mislead the children of Adam and avoid death himself. His intent was rooted in defiance, not submission.
