Transliteration:( Wa qaalal lazeena ootul 'ilma wal eemaana laqad labistum fee kitaabil laahi ilaa yawmil ba'si fahaazaa yawmul ba'si wa laakinnakum kuntum laa ta'lamoon )
"And those who were given [124] knowledge and faith said: 'Surely you have stayed according to the Book of Allah till the Day of Resurrection.' This is then the Day of Resurrection. But you did not care to know [125]."
This refers to those who possess true knowledge and firm faith. They recognize that the worldly life is limited and that the promises of the Hereafter, as revealed in the Book of Allah, are true and certain.
Despite the clear signs and warnings, the disbelievers neglected to understand or accept the truth. They lived as if the Day of Resurrection would never come, ignoring the clear messages given to them. This verse emphasizes their heedlessness and lack of reflection.
