    وَلَٰكِنَّآ أَنشَأۡنَا قُرُونٗا فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡعُمُرُۚ وَمَا كُنتَ ثَاوِيٗا فِيٓ أَهۡلِ مَدۡيَنَ تَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا وَلَٰكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرۡسِلِينَ

    Transliteration:( Wa laakinnaa anshaanaa quroonan fatataawala 'alaihimul 'umur; wa maa kunta saawiyan feee ahli Madyana tatloo 'alaihim Aayaatinaa wa laakinnaa kunnaa mursileen )

    45. But We created generations, and a long time passed over them. And you were not a resident among the people of Madyan reciting Our signs to them. But We were the senders of messengers. [120] (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

    (45) But We produced [many] generations [after Moses], and prolonged was their duration.[1107] And you were not a resident among the people of Madyan, reciting to them Our verses, but We were senders [of this message].[1108] (Saheen International Translation)

    📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Qasas – Verse 45

    "But We created generations, and a long time passed over them. And you were not a resident among the people of Madyan reciting Our signs to them. But We were the senders of messengers. [120]"

    ✅ [119] Generations Forgotten and Religion Altered

    This means that after Musa (peace be upon him), many nations came and passed, living long lifespans, yet they forgot his teachings.

    Unlike past revelations that faded over time, Islam remains firmly preserved, and the Holy Qur’an is still in its original, unaltered form. May Allah Almighty protect it for eternity.

    ✅ [120] Divine Knowledge and Proof of Prophethood

    The Prophet ﷺ was not physically present in Madyan, yet he recites these events with accuracy.

    This is because Allah granted him knowledge of the unseen, which serves as a proof of his Prophethood.
    Messengers are sent with such divine knowledge, guided not by study, but by revelation from Allah.

    (28:45) Thereafter We raised up many a generation and a long time passed.[62] You were then not even present among the people of Midian to rehearse Our verses to them.[63] But it is We Who are sending news about that.

    (28:45) Thereafter We raised up many a generation and a long time passed.[62] You were then not even present among the people of Midian to rehearse Our verses to them.[63] But it is We Who are sending news about that.

    62. That is, “You had no direct means of obtaining this information. All this is being revealed to you by Allah. That is how you have been enabled to relate these two thousand years old events, in a manner as if you were an eye witness.”

    63. That is, “You did not exist at the time when the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) reached Midian, passed ten years of his life there, and then left for Egypt. You were not preaching in the habitations of Midian that which you are preaching in the streets of Makkah. You are not relating those events as an eye witness, but because you have been given the knowledge of these by Us through revelations.”

    (45) But We produced [many] generations [after Moses], and prolonged was their duration.[1107] And you were not a resident among the people of Madyan, reciting to them Our verses, but We were senders [of this message].[1108]

    [1107]- So they forgot and neglected the ordinances of Allāh. [1108]- The Prophet (ﷺ) had no way of obtaining this information except through Allāh's revelation.
