📖 Commentary of Surah Al-An’aam – Verse 115

115. And complete is the word of your Lord in veracity and justice [251]. There is no one to change His words [252]. And He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

✅ [251] Meaning of the Word of Your Lord

The phrase “word of your Lord” may refer to the decision of Allah Almighty made between Muslims and disbelievers, or it may refer to all the heavenly revealed Books, including the Holy Qur’an.

Whatever the specific meaning, the intention is clear: Allah’s word is perfect in truth and justice.

✅ [252] Inalterability of the Qur’an

This means the Glorious Qur’an is a true Book, and no one has the power to alter it until the Day of Judgment.

This verse does not concern abrogation (naskh), as no person has the authority to change any verse; abrogation is solely by Allah’s will.

It is similar to a doctor adjusting a prescription according to the patient’s condition.

If the patient changes the dosage on their own, it would be harmful and considered a wrongdoing.
