📖 Commentary of Surah Al-An’aam – Verse 127

“For them is the home of peace [282] with their Lord, and He is their Protector because of what they used to do.”

[282] Paradise: The Everlasting Home of Peace and Ownership

This verse confirms that Paradise belongs to its dwellers permanently, as seen from the wording “for them”, implying true ownership—not temporary residence.

Their ownership is both present and eternal, granted by their Lord, who also becomes their Guardian and Friend in the Hereafter.

Paradise is called the “Home of Peace” because it offers complete safety from illness, fear, death, or discomfort. Every form of peace and security exists therein.

Entry into Paradise is tied to righteous actions, as indicated by the phrase “because of what they used to do.” However, exceptions include minors, the mentally ill, and new converts who die immediately—they also enter Paradise by Allah’s mercy.

Moreover, sinners benefit from the noble deeds of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, just as beggars share in the wealth of the generous, as stated in “And those in whose wealth there is a known right…” [70:24–25].
