Quran-6:86 Surah Al-anam English Translation,Transliteration and Tafsir(Tafseer).

وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ وَٱلۡيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطٗاۚ وَكُلّٗا فَضَّلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Transliteration:( Wa Ismaa'eela wal Yasa'a wa Yoonusa wa Lootaa; wa kullan faddalnaa 'alal 'aalameen )

86. And (We guided) Ismail and Yas'a and Yunus and Lut. And everyone We excelled above the whole universe in his time (172).

172. From this emerge two points:
1. That there is no equal to a Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلمi.e. there can be no one like a Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم because if they are superior to every other being and as everybody is in this world, including the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم, then how can anyone be superior to the prophets or like them;
2.Prophets are superior to even the angels. Remember, here 'in his time' refer to those besides the Prophet. This does not necessarily mean that those great Prophets are superior to our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم nor does it mean that they are superior amongst themselves. But it certainly means that they are superior to all non prophets. Thus any person who takes a non-prophet to be like a Prophet is gone astray.

The tafsir of Surah Al-Anam verse 86 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.

(6:86) (And of his descendants We guided) Isma’il (Ishmael), al-Yasa’ (Elisha), Yunus (Jonah), and Lut (Lot). And each one of them We favoured over all mankind.

There is no commentary by Abul Maududi available for this verse.
