Surah Al-Anam Ayat 162 Tafsir (Commentry)

  • Tafseer-e-Naeemi (Ahmad Yaar Khan)
  • Ibn Kathir
  • Ala-Madudi

386. This means that physical worships like Salaah, are superior to monetary worships. Thus Allah Almighty has mentioned Salaah before sacrifice.

387. This means my life is not a worldly life but a religious life. Worldly life is that which makes you unmindful from the remembrance of Allah Almighty and keeps you engrossed in material and commercial matters. A life dedicated to Allah Almighty is that which is set aside for Allah's works. You live in service of religion and remembrance of Allah Almighty and die serving Allah Almighty.

From this emerge two issues:

To reveal your purity and piety to people is no hypocrisy. In fact, it is important to declare this.

2. The Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم had full knowledge about future life and death, and who would be on truth. This is from the five knowledge of the unseen.
