Transliteration:( Wa kaifa akhaafu maaa ashraktum wa laa takhaafoona annakum ashraktum billaahi maa lam yunazzil bihee 'alaikum sultaanaa; fa aiyul fareeqaini ahaqqu bil amni in kuntum ta'lamoon )
"And why should I be afraid of those whom you associate [162] with Allah, while you do not fear to associate with Allah for which He has given you no authority? Then which of the two groups is more entitled to security? (Answer) If you know."
Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام responded to his people’s warnings by questioning their logic. They feared lifeless idols made of wood and stone, yet did not fear Allah, the All-Powerful Creator. He firmly stated there is no reason to fear anything besides Allah, especially things incapable of benefit or harm. True fear must be directed towards the One with real authority.
Ibrahim عليه السلام posed a rhetorical question: Who is more entitled to safety—those who worship Allah or those who commit shirk? The answer is clear. Security belongs to the monotheists, while those who associate partners with Allah are deserving of punishment. This establishes that true peace lies only in pure belief.
