📖 Commentary / Tafsir of Surah Aal-e-Imran – Verse 108

"These are the verses of Allah that We recite to you with truth. And Allah does not desire any injustice for the people of the worlds [240]."

✅ [240] Allah’s Justice Is Absolute

This verse affirms that the verses of the Qur'an revealed to the Prophet ﷺ are delivered with truth and purpose, and that Allah is never unjust to His creation. By this, it is meant that Allah does not punish anyone without guilt, nor does He ever reduce the reward of piety (as noted in Khazainul Irfaan). Every action is judged with perfect fairness.

From this, we understand an important theological point: the deceased infants of non-believers will not be punished in Hell, because they died without committing any sin. Similarly, the deceased infants of believers will be sent to Paradise. This reflects Allah’s complete justice and mercy, and that no soul is wronged in the slightest.

(3:108) These are the mes sages of Allah which We recite to you in truth, and Allah desires no wrong[87] to the people of the world.

Ala-Maududi

(3:108) These are the mes sages of Allah which We recite to you in truth, and Allah desires no wrong[87] to the people of the world.

87. Since God does not want to subject people to any wrong He illuminates the straight path of their salvation, and forewarns them of the matters for which they will be asked to render an account in the Hereafter. It is clear that if people abandon the path of rectitude they wrong no one but themselves.

(108) These are the verses of Allāh. We recite them to you, [O Muḥammad], in truth; and Allāh wants no injustice to the worlds [i.e., His creatures].
