Transliteration:( Innal laaha laa yakhfaa 'alaihi shai'un fil ardi wa laa fis samaaa' )
"Surely, nothing is hidden from Allah in the earth and the heavens [6]."
This verse emphasizes one of the divine attributes of Allah — that nothing in the heavens or on earth is hidden from Him.
This level of perfect and limitless knowledge is exclusive to Allah. No being on earth or in the skies naturally possesses such absolute awareness without instruction or revelation.
However, this does not mean that Allah does not bestow knowledge of the unseen (ghaib) to His chosen servants.
🔹 Examples:
Regarding Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), the Qur’an says:
“And thus We showed to Ibrahim all the kingdoms…” (Surah 6:75)
The Holy Prophet ﷺ said:
“Allah Almighty has given me the vision of everything which I fully recognize.”
This shows that:
While unseen knowledge originates from Allah alone,
He may grant partial knowledge to His servants, such as the Prophets, through:
Divine revelation, or
Access to the Divine Tablet (Lohe Mahfooz) — on which everything is recorded
🟢 Similarly, other divine attributes like life, sight, and hearing:
Exist in humans too, but only in a limited form
In contrast, Allah’s attributes are absolute, eternal, and perfect
Thus, while humans may possess reflections of divine attributes, they do so only through limited acquisition, never in the absolute sense.
5. Truly, nothing is hidden from Allah, in the earth or in the heaven. 6. He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He wills. None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Almighty, the All-Wise.
Allah states that He has perfect knowledge in the heavens and earth and that nothing in them is hidden from His watch.
(He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He wills.) meaning, He creates you in the wombs as He wills, whether male or female, handsome or otherwise, happy or miserable.
(La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Almighty, the All-Wise.) meaning, He is the Creator and thus is the only deity worthy of worship, without partners, and His is the perfect might, wisdom and decision. This Ayah refers to the fact that `Isa, son of Mary, is a created servant, just as Allah created the rest of mankind. Allah created `Isa in the womb (of his mother) and shaped him as He willed. Therefore, how could `Isa be divine, as the Christians, may Allah’s curses descend on them, claim `Isa was created in the womb and his creation changed from stage to stage, just as Allah said,
(He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation in three veils of darkness.) ﴿39:6﴾.
(3:5) Nothing in the earth and in the heavens is hidden from Allah.[3]
3. That is, God knows all the facts of the universe. Hence the Book which He has revealed is, of necessity, true. It may be more appropriate to say that the unadulterated Truth can be made available to man only through this Book, which has been revealed by the All-Knowing, All-Wise God.
