Transliteration:( Yu'minoona billaahi wal Yawmil Aakhiri wa ya'muroona bilma'roofi wa yanhawna 'anil munkari wa yusaari'oona fil khairaati wa ulaaa'ika minas saaliheen )
"They believe in Allah and the Last Day [252], enjoin what is right, forbid what is evil, and hasten [253] towards good deeds. These are the righteous."
The phrase “Belief in Allah” inherently includes belief in the Holy Prophet ﷺ, because without accepting the Prophet, one's belief in Allah Almighty remains incomplete. Hence, true faith in Allah must be accompanied by affirmation of His Messenger, making it a complete and accepted form of belief.
The phrase "and hasten" means that they either strive to surpass one another in performing righteous deeds, or that they do not waste time in fulfilling virtuous acts. However, it should be noted that delaying the ‘Isha prayer to its recommended time does not contradict this command, because such a delay is considered virtuous and preferred. From this, we learn that healthy competition in doing good is encouraged, and it is not the same as envy or greedy rivalry.
