Transliteration:( In tamsaskum hasanatun tasu'hum wa in tusibkum saiyi'atuny yafrahoo bihaa wa in tasbiroo wa tattaqoo laa yad urrukum kaiduhum shai'aa; innal laaha bimaa ya'maloona muheet )
"If some fortune is bestowed on you, it grieves them, but if some misfortune overtakes you, then they are happy [265]. And if you have patience and fear Allah, then their guile will not hurt you at all. Surely Allah encompasses what they do."
Although the non-believers may outwardly express sorrow at the misfortunes of Muslims, they are in reality secretly delighted, as is still witnessed today. Even when non-Islamic powers appear to assist Muslims, it is often driven by selfish motives and not out of genuine concern for the welfare of Muslims. From this we learn that expressing happiness at the suffering of Muslims is a clear trait of the disbelievers and a sign of their hidden enmity.
