Transliteration:( Wa laa tahinoo wa laa tahzanoo wa antumul a'lawna in kuntum mu'mineen )
"Do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you have faith [294]."
This is a genuine and sincere promise from Allah. It is we, the insincere and undeserving, who failed to uphold the required conditions, and as a result, we became humiliated. From this verse we learn that every Companion of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, especially the Four Rightly Guided Caliphs (Khulafa-e-Rashideen), were true and sincere believers.
Allah’s promise of superiority and exaltation was made based on their faith. Since they fulfilled this condition, Allah Almighty honored them with Caliphate, governance, and lasting leadership. Their elevation was a direct result of their sincere iman (faith) and steadfastness.
