📖 Commentary of Surah Aal-e-Imran – Verse 158

“And if you die or are slain, certainly you are to gather before Allah [356].”

✅ [356] Three Types of Worshippers and Their Destinations

In this verse, three categories of Allah’s slaves are alluded to:

  1. Those who worship Allah Almighty out of fear of Hell. For them, the Qur’an earlier mentions: “Then the forgiveness of Allah” (Surah Aal-e-Imran, 3:157).

  2. Those who worship Allah out of desire for Paradise. For them, the verse says: “And His mercy.”

  3. The highest group are those who worship Allah out of sincerity and pure love. About them, Allah Almighty says: “You are to be raised towards Him” (Surah Al-Anfal, 8:24).
