    📖 Commentary / Tafsir of Surah Aal-e-Imran – Verse 88

    "They will remain therein for eternity; neither will their punishment be [195] reduced for them [196] nor shall they be given any relief."

    ✅ [195] Continuous Curse and Eternal Punishment

    The phrase "being cursed" means they will be permanently cursed.

    • From this, we learn that only disbelievers can be cursed by name, not sinful believers.

    ✅ [196] No Relief or Reduction in Punishment

    The severity of their punishment will never decrease.

    • However, it's possible that some disbelievers may receive lesser punishment, like Abu Talib.

    • Hell has various levels, with varying degrees of torment.

    • Hence, there is no contradiction in the verse.
