Transliteration:( Rabbanaaa innanaa sami'naa munaadiyai yunaadee lil eemaani an aaminoo bi Rabbikum fa aamannaa; Rabbanaa faghfir lanaa zunoobanaa wa kaffir 'annaa saiyi aatina wa tawaffanaa ma'al abraar )
“O our Lord! Indeed, we have heard [439] a proclaimer (Prophet Muhammad) calling to faith (saying): ‘Believe in your Lord.’ Then we believed [440]. O our Lord! Forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die with the righteous.” [441]
The term “proclaimer” refers specifically to the Holy Prophet ﷺ. From this we learn:
The religious call made by Ulama (scholars) is considered an extension of the Prophet’s ﷺ proclamation.
Listening to scholars who speak in accordance with the Sunnah is akin to listening to the Prophet ﷺ himself.
This highlights the role of Ulama in carrying forward the mission of Prophethood.
Our Iman (faith) is granted through the blessed call of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
This part of the verse leads us to two key insights:
A Muslim may consider himself sinful, but must never consider himself a disbeliever.
Claiming apostasy upon oneself is in itself an act of disbelief.
It is permissible to seek forgiveness through the mediation of one's faith.
If faith can be made a wasilah (means/intermediary) in du‘a, then it is also permissible to make the Holy Prophet ﷺ a wasilah for seeking Allah’s mercy.
The du‘a concludes with a plea for a blessed death, and from this we learn:
We should ask Allah to let us die among the righteous, either:
Literally in their company, or
Engaged in righteous actions at the moment of death.
It may also mean: “When only the sinful are left on earth, take us away before that time.”
This corresponds with a Hadith stating that before the Day of Judgment, Allah will take the believers from the world so that only the wicked will remain.

Please refer to Surah Imran ayat 190 which provides the complete commentary from verse 190 through 194.
(3:193) Our Lord! Indeed we heard a crier calling to the faith saying: “Believe in your Lord”; so we did believe.[137] Our Lord, forgive us our sins, and wipe out our evil deeds and make us die with the truly pious.’
